Project 1

Evoque

Reimagining an icon is no easy task. And yet, that is precisely the everyday work of Land Rover’s Chief Designer, Gerry McGovern, under whose watch the company has reported record annual sales of their iconic cars.

Now, with the latest Range Rover Evoque, McGovern and his team have built on the strengths of the best-selling original.

GStudio travelled to the design studio in Gaydon, West Midland to discuss the innovations and developments of their latest release.

Project 3

The Classics Restoration Centre

The Jaguar Land Rover Classic Works facility is like a toy box. Located in Ryton-on-Dunsmore, alongside the brand’s Special Vehicles Operations Centre, the facility opened last June and has already set to work restoring and renovating some of the most iconic British motors from decades past.

GStudio spoke exclusively to Classic Works general manager for engineering and operations, Sukhi Clark, about the process of rebuilding these iconic machines. From sourcing shells of Land Rovers in deserts and scanning parts to generate 3D digital models, it is a meticulous practice!
